Web Developer / User Interface Designer

The successful candidate will be the primary web developer, graphics and UX (User Experience) designer in a dynamic company developing technologies for “Visual Communications over the Internet”. You could have 2-3 years professional experience, or could be fresh out of school, but with a dynamite portfolio of projects that show that you “get it”. You understand what is working with today’s changing web design landscape. You will also be responsible for tying together the branded look and feel throughout Winnov’s marketing mix (collateral, booth design, banner ads, print /web, media player GUI). This position requires a genuine passion for creating and maintaining the look of a bleeding-edge technology brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Corporate and product-oriented website redesign and deployment, relying on a mix of style, intuitive navigation and interactive apps.
- Ongoing website maintenance, refreshing imagery, content (provided by marketing).
- Team up with Marketing and Sales to create product sheets, sales collateral and product PowerPoint presentation design templates.
- Design sleek and easy-to-use media player user interface for our video broadcasting appliance.
- Create and maintain a stable of banner advertisements, print ad templates and marketing collateral design templates.
- Redesign of tradeshow booth graphics
- Work with printers to ensure handoff of accurate specs, files, colors, etc.
- Work with Marketing Manager to create high-concept videos for promotions.
- You will likely be called on to create on-the-fly graphics on a regular basis.
- Aid in the creation of a branding/logo guideline booklet.
- Design support for our offices in Germany and China.

REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Design or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years demonstrable experience in Web design and development.
- Solid Photoshop, Illustrator, and ImageReady skills, you consider yourself a power user.
- Flash & Ajax skills, SilverLight experience is a serious plus.
- Knowledge in web design, content management tools is a given.
- Understanding of Web technologies and applications including HTML, XML, DHTML, CSS, etc.
- Experience with front/back end integration.
- Experience designing for print.
- A passion for great design, with an excellent eye for color, composition, interface design, and typography.
- Experience with user interface design methodologies and executing usability studies.
- Hands-on experience working with social networking/online community development tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to contribute hands-on to the creative process of web sites, web based application development, printed collateral, and all other kinds of design related tasks.
- Committed to owning projects and driving them to successful completion on time.
- Part or current experience working with streaming and imbedded video.
- Thorough understanding of Web 2.0 and social networking methodologies currently employed across the Internet.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Bonus for networking knowledge, programming knowledge, video conferencing, WebEX, IP-TV, video CODEC experience.
